Having gone through several make of work boot, both expensive and cheap, these boots were a pleasure from the moment I put them on. My work involves a lot of walking often on wet ground, so finding a boot that is both comfortable, very flexible and above all waterproof, whilst at the same time giving the protection of steel toe caps and mid sole has been a trial, but I think I have finally landed on my feet! During the recent wet spell ( May 2012) I started with my previous boots rotating two pairs on a daily basis, but still had wet feet by mid day, was not a happy bunny, so was prompted to look on line for boots and reviews. The Challenger boots looked good and had good reviews and were in the reasonable mid-price range, so slightly sceptical ( but desperate) I ordered two pair through Amazon. Order was promptly delivered, since putting them on I've had warm, dry feet in some of the wettest May/June weather on record. They are so good I've not had to `rotate' the boots once, the second pair have remained in the cupboard. I've only been wearing them for a month, so its early days regarding there durability, but all the signs are good, given there baptism of fire this May, seams and stitching are good, and sole gives great grip and confidence on slippy surfaces, ankle support is as close to perfect for me as any of my more expensive walking/hunting boots. If I was to nitpick, my only comment would be they are `warm', not sweaty warm, just noticably warm, mind you its now in the mid/late twenties as I write this, and you only tend to notice it when you sit down, but then they are work boots for people that actually work, not sit behind a desk thinking about work!

I shouldn't have to say anymore than this is my 3rd pair. As long as they are being produced I won't wear anything else.Comfort: great straight out of the box. Never had a blister or any sore spots. I do change the inner soles for a pair I've had out another pair of shoes (Dewalt Panthers if I remember rightly), but other than that, excellent comfortProtection: steel toes obviously, padded ankle protection, and puncture protection - a must-have when working onsite where there is timber and nails - as a colleague found to his cost whilst wearing "safety" shoes without it!!Waterproof: means I can ride the motorbike to work all year round and don't need to change boots on arrival. Also great for outdoor work wear my fellow workers are having to resort to gumboots - I'm warm, dry and comfortable in my Challengers.Value: these retail for anything up to £[] depending where you look. Got them from Amazon for £[]!!! They'll last me at least a year and considering they get worn for 8hrs+ nearly everyday... fantastic investment.I recommend these to every bloke I work with. Highest endorsement I can possibly give.
