I'm a doorman and use these boots for work. I can run, stand and walk in comfort. My feet do get a little hot in very hot weather but these are great boots not magic pixie boots. Totally water (and other nasty wet substances) proof and look nice and neat and quite bad-ass. The one and only problem I have had is that the lases are to long so I have to wrap them around.I've had these for over 3 months and the soles are not showing any sign of wear. I've also taken them walking in the woods, got them covered in mud and they were cleaned in the shower in seconds ready for work that night. Amazing, if expensive boots. Get them!

These boots were bought based upon the amount of reviews recommending how good, durable and effective they are.I bought my boots for use in Japan, which has a more extreme range of out door environments compared to the UK.I bought them for all round purposes, including weekend hiking (30 to 40 kilometers), walking in snowy areas and cold temperatures down to around -10, riding motorcycles plus using for general purpose outdoor activities.Upon first wearing the Elite Force I found them light, very warm and comfortable. The laces have to be put pushed through the eyelets rather than hooked around like hiking boots, which can make taking them on and off a bit slower. The laces are still in good condition and no wear or issues yet, although the type is non standard so may be an issue to get replacements outside of the UK.After walking around 10 kilometers in normal urban environments I started to feel a blistering feeling on the left boot heel where the stitching touches the back of the foot. Approximately in line with the center point of the plastic heel kicker. Other reviewers have commented on a similar issue so I tried loose laces, tight laces, wearing two pairs of socks, one pair of socks, then eventually I overcome it by inserting a self adhesive blister prevention pad over the heel stitching plus wearing a pair of high quality Wicking socks. Now after walking around 60 kilometers the right foot is giving the same problem.In my case the problem was accentuated while walking up inclines of more than 45 degrees for a continual time. These conditions put the pressure and contact of the foot right onto the stitching line.On flat but very rocky courses, such as volcanic rock and other very rough terrain the base of the boots were very solid and gave great support to the ankles, if anything transferring the strain to the calf of the leg. This gives you a lot of confidence when walking over dangerous terrain or sharp objects. I did not slip but I can't say that this was due to any special characteristics of the grip.One noticeable point was that in -3 to -7 environments these boots were very warm. This is great as long as the foot can breathe easily, though even when wearing wicking socks the foot became damp and wet due to perspiration in temperatures above zero. This can be a contributory factor to developing blisters (friction, moisture heat).I found the Ion Mask technology worked very well, they clean up just like they say and stomping around in deep puddles, swampy conditions and thin ice the boots did not ingress any moisture or dirt.I was wearing spats with these boots and I did feel like I could walk through any conditions.I still do not have enough trust the boots yet for any long serious continual hiking trips until the blister issue is solved, but for all weather all terrain 10 to 15 kilometer walks these boots perform great.

I where these everyday for my job and so far they have been the comfiest boot I have ever used. They are fully waterproof and benefit form a number of technologies designed to help you stay clean and safe.The proof is in the walking though and these are exceptionally comfy to walk in once you have broken them in. My only minor niggle is the laces whcih I will probably replace but that is more personal preference anyway.
